NJCYB’s 25th SEASON OF THE NUTCRACKER DECEMBER 2024

It is with great pleasure that we announce NJCYB will bring back our performances of the Nutcracker for our 25th anniversary season. The Nutcracker has been a staple for us and the community since the beginning and we are thrilled to back on the stage again this year.

We thank those of you who so graciously supported NJCYB’s Nutcrackers for the past 25 years. We look forward to bringing this holiday classic back to the stage and community this year.

AUDITION INFORMATION:

• Date: Saturday, September 21st

• Time: 2:00-4:00pm

• Location: North Jersey School of Dance Arts, 400D Valentine St, Hackettstown, NJ 07840

• Dancers ages 5 and up are encouraged to audition.

• Registration for the audition is REQUIRED. Register HERE!

• Dancers must register for the audition by 5pm on Friday, September 20th

• Only registered dancers will receive the audition schedule by the evening of Friday, September 20th

• Audition Fee: $30

Hackettstown is located in northwest New Jersey at the crossroads of routes 46, 517, and 57.

From Interstate 80 East: Take Exit 19 onto Route 517 South. Proceed five miles to the intersection with Route 46.  Jog across Main Street and continue straight for 7 blocks (the street name is now called “Grand Ave” at this point).   When you come to “Tannery Field” baseball field on the left, you will turn LEFT immediately after the field, into the large 500-space parking lot.  The Lackland Center is the main building in the center of the lot.

From Interstate 80 West: Take Exit 26 onto Route 46 West toward Budd Lake/Hackettstown. Proceed approximately 7 miles. Turn Right onto Route 46/Main Street. Proceed to the traffic light, turn left onto Grand Ave.   Follow Grand Ave for 7 blocks until you come to “Tannery Field” baseball field on the left, you will turn LEFT immediately after the field, into the large 500-space parking lot.  The Lackland Center is the main building in the center of the lot.

From the South: Take the Garden State Parkway or New Jersey Turnpike (I95) to Interstate 287 North. Take Exit 22B Route 206 North. Stay on Route 206 North to Route 80 West. Go one exit to Exit 26 Route 46 West, towards Budd Lake and Hackettstown. Stay on Route 46 West into Hackettstown. Proceed to the center of the town and make a left onto Church Street (one-way street), opposite the Trinity United Methodist Church. Proceed four blocks to the University.

From Philadelphia/Trenton Area: Take Rt. 95 to Route 31 North (Ringoes). Follow to Route 202 North (Flemington) to Route 31 North (Bartles Corners). Follow Route 31 North past Rt. 78 into the town of Washington. Once in Washington, get onto Rt. 57 East (Hackettstown). At the outskirts of Hackettstown, Rt. 57 intersects with Route 183. Turn left onto Rt. 183, and follow to Route 46. Turn Left onto Rt. 46 (Main St. Hackettstown). Proceed to the center of Hackettstown. Turn left onto Church Street (one-way street) opposite Trinity United Methodist Church, and proceed four blocks to Centenary University.
